The Best Birkenstock Dupes on the High Street

Striped Half Zip Jumper, Levis 501s, Birkenstock Boston Clogs Dupes

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the last few years, chances are you’ve witnessed the ever-growing popularity of Birkenstock. Whether it’s the Boston clog loved by influencers globally, or the infamous ‘Jesus sandals’, much like the Marmite brand of the fashion world, Crocs, Birks have certainly had a resurgence and shown us they’re here to stay.

But with this growth in popularity comes the inevitable price hikes, with some styles setting you back an eye-watering £160. Not to mention, that small issue of limited stock as people all over the world clamber to get their hands on a pair. Drawing on my own experience of missing out on endless pairs of Bostons in a size 5 and questioning whether I can really justify spending £115 on a pair of sandals, I’m here to share the best Birkenstock dupes I’ve not only seen on the high street but have also bought and loved myself. So, let’s get down to it!

Birkenstock Boston Dupes

Ah, the ever-sought-after Birkenstock Boston clogs. An article about Birkenstock dupes would quite simply be pointless without sharing the best Birkenstock Boston dupes. If, like me in recent years, you’ve scoured store after store, site after site, looking for a pair of Birkenstock Bostons in your size, then this one’s for you. Fun fact: I walked past a Birkenstock store in London and they had genuinely printed a sign and put it up in the window saying ‘No Birkenstock Bostons in here’. Sometimes you just have to let the dream go and bag yourself a pair of lookalikes…even if they just tide you over until you get the real thing.

The beauty of other brands creating their own Birkenstock Boston dupes is that sometimes you can find something really different. Maybe it’s a cool colourway that Birkenstock haven’t created or even a completely different texture – I spotted some cute crochet versions on a recent shopping in Spain – whatever it is, there are some really unique styles out there just waiting to be discovered.

The Real Deal: Birkenstock Boston Clogs

Desperately seeking the real deal but struggling to find a pair? I’ve done the hard work for you and popped links below. But be warned, these were plentiful in stock at the time of writing but may not be as you’re reading now so be quick!

Birkenstock Arizona Sandals Dupes

Once mocked and dubbed ‘Jesus sandals’, the Birkenstock Arizona has certainly come a long way since their inauguration into the fashion world (who’s laughing now?). I personally love the style and have several pairs in different colourways and materials. They’re a great sandal for dressing down a mini dress in summer and adding an element of edge to your overall look. From roaming the streets of Paris to trekking through the jungles of Argentina, both my Birkenstock sandals dupes and the real deal have accompanied me all over the world, quickly becoming a wardrobe staple and must-have item on my holiday packing lists.

Birkenstock Madrid Dupes

The classic single-strap slider, the Birkenstock Madrid. I remember the days when you could nab these for an absolute steal in Costco (I’m pretty sure my mum bought every colour). Nowadays, a pair will knock you back anywhere between £65-£105, depending on the model. Looking just as good with skinny jeans as they do mini summer dresses, I’m a huge fan of this style and its versatility. Again, whilst I love the OG Madrids, I have plenty of dupe versions that have lasted me years and have seen me through many a summer holiday.

So there you have it, my round-up of the best Birkenstock dupes on the high street. Whether you’re looking to build out your shoe collection and don’t fancy spending a fortune in the process, or you’re simply struggling to get your hands on the Birks you want, you just can’t beat the thrill of bagging a good-quality dupe.
