Another in my ‘How to Style’ series and this time, it’s the knitted black dress. For this post, NA-KD kindly gifted me the Open Back Knitted Mini Dress Black from the Moa Mattsson x NA-KD collaboration. The little black dress is such a wardrobe staple, but make it knitted black dress and well, that’s a whole other ballgame. I love how simple yet stunning this dress is, offering a figure-enhancing silhouette as well as multiple styling options. To emphasise how versatile this piece really is, I decided to style it from day to night.
Day: Shopping, Brunch, Coffee Date
I always find that a knitted dress is an easy go-to for daytime wear. Not only is it comfortable, but it always always looks sexy and adds a little je ne sais quoi to your look, especially if you style it in the right way. I like to add a touch of edge to my classic pieces during the day, by throwing on a pair of chunky yet sophisticated leather chelsea boots and statement tights.
Night: Drinks, Date Night, Event
It’s also a perfect, and extremely easy, style to wear by night. The figure-hugging nature of the material and sexy open back make this knitted black dress in particular a great evening piece. For me, these cream butter leather lace up heels and matching bag add an extra layer of class to the overall look. Styled with a chunky bangle from Massimo Dutti, this look was giving me serious 60s vibes.
