Another day, another lockdown. What strange times we’re living in at the moment, but in all honesty, I can’t remember what normal life feels like at this point! If, like me, you’re spending the majority of your days wearing loungewear, I’ve put together a little guide to help you make the most of your lockdown loungewear looks and inject a bit more personality and style into your new normal. I can tell you one thing for sure, loungewear isn’t going anywhere in 2021.
Switch up the Sweats
Change up your sweatpants for a comfy pair of shorts. I’ve always worn lounge shorts (my first pair were from Hollister – those were the days!) but I understand why people might be a bit reserved, associating them with tight waistbands and restrictive denim. Have no fear though, lounge shorts are the new pants – they’re a great alternative as the weather warms up, allowing you to keep cool in comfort and if you’ve put in the effort to de-fuzz your legs during lockdown, you might as well show them off!
I’m a huge fan of layering, and that’s no different when it comes to my loungewear. Now more than ever is the time to wrap up in good style and good feelings with comfort layers that care. I’ve always been a cardigan wearer but during lockdown, they’ve been my go-to when wearing my dressing gown just isn’t possible (you know, during professional zoom calls etc…). I’ve been living in this gorgeous set from Primark’s latest sustainable range. The cardigan and matching bottoms are so luxe and soft, you’d honestly think they were from somewhere like The White Company! Since I can’t link you to this exact set, I’ve linked some similar cardigans.
Three’s (not) a Crowd
But why not go the whole hog and get yourself a full lounge set, complete with long cardigan, cute crop and super sexy lounge pants like this Forever Unique three piece set. Since lockdown, offerings of full lounge sets have soared. Here’s a few of my favourites below!
Just Add Slippers
No lockdown loungewear look is complete without matching slippers. The more luxurious, the better, when it comes to choosing slippers for myself. My current favourites are these cream faux fur crossover pair which are currently sold out but I’ve linked some gorgeous alternatives below which I may also have to treat myself to…
