The Perfect Knit for Spring

Living in England means I have to be prepared for all eventualities when it comes to the weather. Spring doesn’t mean spring here (literally when I first started writing this post, it was snowing outside) which means I have to make sure my wardrobe is fully adaptable to the ever-changing weather outside – enter spring jumpers.

I love adding new colours to my wardrobe and finding ways to style them. As always, I have linked the items (or similar ones) I’m wearing below for you to shop yourselves! I’d love to hear your thoughts on the outfit and hear how you would style this jumper!

I wrote a post about transitioning your wardrobe from summer into autumn (you can find it here) but what about winter into spring? Personally, I find this transition much more difficult as, although I love spring fashion and get super excited about donning pastels and finally baring my legs, the weather just doesn’t permit. This is why it’s important to find some balance between winter and spring fashion and the reason why I love spring jumpers, especially this gorgeous one from In The Style.

It was love at first sight with this jumper from Australian influencer Laura Jade Stone’s collaboration with In The Style. I never seem to shop on In The Style unless it’s part of a blogger’s collaboration range because I just love them! But having received two jumpers from there recently, the quality has been great and I will definitely be looking more closely at what else they have to offer. Laura Jade Stone is one of the latest to create a line (with a second drop coming very soon!) but I also recently bought a gorgeous two tone blush and cream jumper from Lorna Luxe’s range (you can find it here).

But back to the Laura Jade Stone jumper, the style is exactly what I look for in a jumper. The balloon sleeves are a favourite for me, I just think it makes the knit look so much cosier yet stylish. There’s just something very flattering about them! Similarly I love the high neck and especially since getting my hair cut MUCH shorter, a high neck really complements my style.

But it has to be the colour that has me sold – I haven’t seen such a gorgeous jewel green colour before! I decided to pair it with my trusty high-waisted white jeans and a dark wooden slatted bag from Zara. The dark wood really complemented the green, allowing it to stand out against the neutral tones in my accessories.
