I am genuinely obsessing over every trend this season. For once, I’m spoilt for choice with what to buy (much to the dismay of my bank account). The one trend that has really got me good though is animal print, in particular snake print. I have bought COUNTLESS pieces in snake print this season and wanted to showcase a couple of examples for you (expect many more to come!).
In this post I’ll be focusing on this on trend yet practical snake print bag from Topshop. I’ve actually been using this bag as my work bag as it’s just such a great size for fitting all the essentials in whilst keeping you bang on trend. Anyway, I paired the bag with a cosy neutral knit from River Island and a chocolate brown leather skirt from there too. The skirt is a few years old but I’ve linked some alternatives below! I am LOVING River Island’s knitwear collection at the minute and have another two posts on the way featuring another jumper and a cardigan from the high street store coming up so keep your eyes peeled!
Another trend I’m loving this season is bare legs and boots. Normally at this time of year here in the north of England, it’s WAY too cold for anything of the sort. However, I’ve found this season to be quite mild and I’ve taken advantage of the weather to finally style a chunky knit with a cute autumnal skirt and boots. I’m loving socks at the minute too. It may sound random but there are some gorgeous little ankle socks out at the minute which can really add an edge to your outfit (mine here actually have sloths on…you don’t get much edgier than that). Styled with a pair of ankle boots, I personally think socks are a very underrated accessory!
Back to the snake print though and I also added another splash through my new grey snake print phone case from Ideal of Sweden. These days, phone cases are literally an accessory in their own right, especially the super high quality and stunning designs from Ideal of Sweden.
If you’re a bit nervous to try out the snake print trend, I would advise just incorporating a touch of the print through your accessories like I have done here. You don’t need to be donning snakeskin trousers to enjoy the trend (although I wouldn’t say no), you can play about with accessories and find what best suits your style! As always, let me know your thoughts on the post in the comments!
