Jumper season is here! Despite the fact the weather still keeps throwing some curveballs, for the most part it’s getting chilly enough to wear a jumper most days. Autumn fashion is definitely my favourite so when the lovely team at Femme Luxe asked me to collaborate to write about their knitwear collection, I was SO happy. I wanted to do a walk through with you of the three styles I chose from the site and the way I’ve styled them. As always, please leave your comments below if you enjoy the post!
I am OBSESSED with bardot tops, jumpers, you name it…basically anything off the shoulder, I’ll wear it. What my wardrobe was missing however was a comfy black off the shoulder jumper and this piece from Femme Luxe ticks all the boxes. It’s super comfy and doesn’t restrict arm movements like I find some bardot styles tend to do.
The slouchy, off the shoulder style really gives the look a sexy edge which is emphasised more by adding jewellery. I always think this style of jumper looks amazing with layered necklaces, drawing attention to the décolletage area. This jumper came in an array of different colours too which I’ll definitely be trying next but, you just can’t beat a classic black off the shoulder jumper.
You may recognise this style of jumper from my Transitional Textures post. I absolutely love the fit of this jumper so when I saw that Femme Luxe did the exact same one but in a stone colour, I was hooked. I love a good neutral jumper to pair with black. The short style is perfect for pairing with high waisted bottoms, whether that be a skirt or trousers. I chose to put mine with a pair of high waisted black wet look jeans, creating a more dressed up look. This jumper would equally look great with tapered trousers or dark blue jeans for a casual effect.
The ruffle hem allows for the allusion of a tiny waist and high waisted bottoms really emphasise that. The fact the ruffle design is continued through to the cuffs and collar just gives this jumper a little something extra and a cutesy feel.
The third and final jumper I’ll be showing you today is once again black, but this time has a quirky style. Knotted jumpers seem to be all over the high street at the minute and whether you where the knot at the front or the back is the question…I went for the back!
Once again, the slouchy slightly off the shoulder style made the jumper super comfortable whilst the knotted back allowed you to show some skin and made the look that bit sexier. This jumper is a great transitional piece through to Autumn as it’s quite a light knit with that open back making it cosy but not too chunky and wintery. I honestly didn’t think I’d love this style as much as I do but the comfy yet sexy vibe it gives is exactly what I look for in a jumper, especially when you’re bored of covering up in oversized numbers! It may not keep you the warmest but you’ll certainly look good!
As always, I’ve linked the exact jumpers below but there are so many lovely styles in the Femme Luxe knitwear collection at the minute which you can find here. Thank you for reading and as always please let me know your thoughts or any questions you may have!
