Mustard and Monochrome

blogger, chesterHi loves! Easter is over and I’m feeling the struggle to get back into a routine that doesn’t involve chocolate and gin. I spent the bank holiday in Chester with my s.o and had a fab time despite the rain. Just a quick post to talk about my favourite colour of the moment: mustard.

You may have noticed that I tend to go through phases of having a favourite colour scheme on my blog (like in my Khaki Khaki post). Depending on the season, I seem to get hooked onto one colour and incorporate it wherever I can into my wardrobe and this season is no different. The current obsession? Mustard.

I adore the mustard and stripes look at the moment so for a rainy day exploring I styled this stripy jumper with a splash of mustard accessories. If you’re a self-confessed lover of all black everything and want to experiment with colour a bit more then I’d recommend starting with accessories. They’re the perfect way to add a touch of colour to an otherwise monochrome outfit just as I’ve done with these New Look mustard earrings and Topshop Seline bag.

A vibrant colour thrown against a monochrome palette can really help freshen up your look, whatever the season. I’ve linked below my outfit and some similar items for anyone who wants to brave the colour scheme!

How did you spend your Easter? What colour palettes are you loving at the moment? I’d love to hear your comments!
