Autumn Transitions

Another day another brunch – this time at The Quarter in Liverpool’s picturesque Georgian quarter. As we begin to transition into autumn, it has been the perfect in-between weather to showcase my new floral embroidered backless mules.

A clear dupe of Gucci’s Princetown leather slipper, these EGO sale beauties were only £9.99. Having worn them several times already, I can already tell they’re going to be a regular in my looks come autumn. Backless mules are a great transitional piece as they aren’t as clunky as loafers yet cover up much more than a sandal would.

I styled the mules with another two key tranisitional pieces this year – the gingham print and the tasseled jean. After being such a hit this summer, gingham is a great trend to continue into autumn with, be it in monochrome or red – both key colour palettes for the upcoming season.

Likewise, tasseled jeans are the perfect way to transition bottoms, avoiding bare legs on less than sunny days but steering clear of heavy or tight materials. If you want to shop my look, I’ve put together some similar items below that I think you may like!

What are your favourite transitional pieces? I would love to hear your thoughts on the post below!
