Another day, another Italian day trip. This time to the wonderful Verona. The inspiration behind Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Verona is every bit as magical as it sounds.
I began my day with a glass of wine (it was lunch time in my defence!) in a cute little bar, set on the riverbank with amazing views of the city. After my (very early) aperitivo, I did what tourists do best and visited the balcony of Juliet and the statue of the lady herself.
As with all Italian good luck traditions, the ruder the better: and so after twirling around three times on the bulls testicles in Milano, I was now trying my hand at squeezing Juliet’s boob in Verona (I’ll clearly do anything for a bit of good luck).
I wore a Brandy & Melville denim skirt with an off the shoulder white embroidered top from Bershka and my trusty tan leather slouchy bag. Denim skirts have been my go-to this summer particularly for day trips for when you want to keep cool in the city heat but still look stylish. They look great with any form of summer shoe as well, from sandals to trainers.
Have you ever been to Verona? I would love to hear your thoughts on the post in the comments!
