It seems the sunny days of summer are now a distant memory here in England but my summer baby genes will not be quashed as I still try and pretend it’s a warmer temperature outside. Despite the less than glorious conditions, I still threw together a look I’ve been looking forward to wearing all season.
I wore a gorgeous mosaic style bralet which I treated myself to a couple of weeks ago from Topshop. It’s neoprene material is bang on trend with the likes of Missguided producing various co-ords and pieces in the scuba fabric this season. The colours in the top were so rich and the pattern so detailed it reminded me of a Gaudi inspired design or that of a Greek mosaic.
I styled the bralet with a neutral grey tube skirt, keeping the colours cool and subdued which allowed the top to work it’s magic.
My choice of eye colours was clear from the offset with this outfit – deep blue and grey. Using a selection of shades, I created a deep smokey eye to complete my look. I began by taking Urban Decay Verve from the Naked 2 Palette in the corners of my eyes.
Blending further to the middle I used a soft cornflour blue colour from an extremely cheap Beauty UK palette I bought a while back which has proved to be very useful over the years.
In the socket of my eye and winging towards the outer corners I blended a deep midnight blue shade with a sheen of grey – I created this by blending one shade from a GOSH palette and Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow in Pistol. To finish off I used Eyeko’s Skinny Liquid Eyeliner Black and L’oreal’s Volume Millions Lashes Excess.
After finally getting to wear this mosaic-esque treasure, I’m looking forward to taking it away with me when I go on my holidays to much sunnier climates…not long now!
