Olá from Portugal! My final destination of the Summer and it hasn’t disappointed. The sun is as hot as ever, the clear blue pool still inviting and the marina’s dinky shops crammed full of new hidden treasures are waiting to be discovered. It’s safe to say I am in my element.
Just a quick note of my favourite outfits during my stay. One being my wrap over sheer cream top à la River Island with attachable necklace. After eventually working out how to put on the complicated piece, it’s unusual design, classic colour and flowing train made it worthwhile.
Another favourite was this midi dress from Topshop. It’s clingy material emphasises the natural curves on anyone, even skinny minnies, but it is thick enough to disguise any bulge (and although I did attend the gym, the Portuguese delicacies overpowered it). It was also a perfect nod to the digi-print trend that swept the catwalks, mixing images of plants and zebra print patterns with colours which were perfect for summer.
I paired it perfectly with a pair of black and white Kurt Geiger sandals and matching style bag from New Look, keeping jewellery to the absolute minimum to allow the dress speak for itself.
It’s been the perfect way to relax and I’ve been delighted to be reunited with my favourite place one more time before I pack up for university…I’m pretty sure I won’t be seeing this kind of weather for a long time now so best be making the most of it!
